Iroquois Memorial Hospital would not be successful without the support of our incredible staff. Some members stand out as Superstars!
Each week, we will be featuring a new Superstar staff member to highlight their outstanding commitment and dedication to IMH and the patients we serve.
This week’s featured employee is Linda Schroeder. Linda has been a member of the IMH family for 18 years. She grew up in Luxemburg, Wisconsin and always had the desire to help people. Originally, she wanted to join the military, but was determined ineligible due to her allergy to wool (My, how times have changed). Then, her path brought her to Iroquois County where she became friends with someone who worked at IMH at the time. They convinced Linda to apply for a position and the rest is history! Linda has found her niche as unit secretary on the patient care floor, and she is also a certified telemetry technician . For many years, she was a very active member of the employee committee, as well.
Linda is very family oriented. When she is not assisting staff and patients in the patient care unit, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family. They often have cookouts and she spends as much time as she can with her three children and grandchild. Linda enjoys visiting her mother in Wisconsin and sister in Texas. Not only does she get to visit her sister, but Texas brings her closer to the beach – her favorite place to be! At home, she keeps busy with renovating her house in Milford. Linda is a private person – not many people are aware that she is a breast cancer survivor. However, her most recent screening determined that she is cancer free now for four years! Amazing!
When we asked Linda why she enjoyed working at IMH she said, “It’s like family here. I love being such a close part of the team that helps people feel better everyday!” Linda, we appreciate your time spent and dedication to the IMH family.
From all of us at IMH, thank you Linda for your outstanding service. You are a true Superstar in Healthcare!
