IMH Superstar: Angie Parsons, RN – Outpatient Surgery

Iroquois Memorial Hospital would not be successful without the support of our incredible staff. Some members stand out as Superstars!

Each week, we will be featuring a new Superstar staff member to highlight their outstanding commitment and dedication to IMH and the patients we serve.

This week’s featured employee is Angie Parsons. Angie began her career at IMH in 1997, celebrating 20 years at IMH on her birthday in May of 2017! Angie graduated from Watseka Community High School and went on to achieve her nursing degree from Kankakee Community College. Angie works as a nurse for outpatient surgery, often assisting the doctor during procedures and helping patients recover post-procedures. Nursing has been Angie’s passion since she was a little girl. She says she never even considered a different career path.

When Angie is not caring for patients, she is caring for her family. Angie and her husband, Drew, have three children. She and her family are all avid sports fans, especially the Chicago Cubs. Her three children, Rylie, Kinzie, and Tate, all play sports as well. With three children in sports, Angie spends a lot of time being the world’s biggest fan!

When we asked Angie what she enjoyed about working at IMH, she said, “We are such a close knit family here at IMH. Like one big happy family. Our community is lucky to have IMH and its dedicated employees.” We think we are lucky to have Angie as part of that family.

From all of us at IMH, thank you Angie for your outstanding service. You are a true Superstar in Healthcare!
