Iroquois Memorial Hospital would not be successful without the support of our incredible staff. Some members stand out as Superstars!
Each week, we will be featuring a new Superstar staff member to highlight their outstanding commitment and dedication to IMH and the patients we serve.
This week’s featured employee is Stepheny Bell. Stepheny graduated from Watseka Community High School in 2011 and began her career at IMH in 2012. She started out doing housekeeping for Surgery. When the position for Centralized Scheduling opened up in 2014, she applied and transferred to the department. In her 3 years with Centralized Scheduling, Stepheny has become the guru of scheduling and her co-workers often compliment how “on top of everything” she is. Although Stepheny says she wouldn’t change a thing about her position and loves working in the customer service environment, she is looking to expand her horizons. With guidance from Nancy Luecke, she is researching and considering classes at KCC to become a CCA, Certified Coding Associate.
When she isn’t scheduling radiology tests or clinic appointments, Stepheny loves spending time with her family and friends. She and her husband, Eric, have one son, Aiden, who will be one year old on May 4th. Simply, watching him grow up is her favorite thing to do. They also have two “fur babies”, Peanut and Grizzly, to keep them busy. Stepheny and Eric just recently purchased their first home on the edge of town and are enjoying remodeling and making it their own. Stepheny’s other hobbies range from photography to fishing!
When we asked Stepheny what she enjoyed most about her job at IMH, she said, “I love working with everyone. In Centralized Scheduling, I feel like I get to work with almost everyone in the hospital!”
From all of us at IMH, thank you Stepheny for your outstanding service. You are a true Superstar in Healthcare!
