Iroquois Memorial Hospital would not be successful without the support of our incredible staff. Some members stand out as Superstars!
Each week, we will be featuring a new Superstar staff member to highlight their outstanding commitment and dedication to IMH and the patients we serve.
This week’s featured employee is Lori Yates. Lori is the Coordinator of Environmental Services. Environmental Services is a broad classification that includes departments such as maintenance, laundry services, housekeeping, and security. As coordinator, she also takes care of the van transport services and emergency situation management. She began her career in 1988 and celebrated 30 years with IMH on January 18th. Lori is a native to Watseka, graduating from Watseka Community High School in 1980. She really enjoyed her secretarial classes in High School and accredits Mrs. Mary Bricker as an inspiration for choosing her line of work.
When Lori is not making sure the hospital is running smoothly behind the scenes, she enjoys being outside as much as possible, specifically sitting by her pond. Lori loves hiking, mushroom hunting in the spring, and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. She lives with her partner of 15 years, Russell Bills, and has one son, Michael. Lori, also, enjoys spending as much as time as possible with her two grandchildren.
When we asked Lori why she liked working at IMH she said, “I enjoy my job. I enjoy working with and helping my coworkers and the community.” Sometimes, the people behind the scenes can have the biggest impact.
From all of us at IMH and the Iroquois Resident Home, thank you Lori for your outstanding service. You are a true Superstar in Healthcare!
