Iroquois Memorial Hospital would not be successful without the support of our incredible staff. Some members stand out as Superstars!
Each week, we will be featuring a new Superstar staff member to highlight their outstanding commitment and dedication to IMH and the patients we serve.
This week’s featured employee is Georgia Woodby, EMT-P, Director of EMS Services. Georgia has been a member of the IMH family for 10 years. She resides in Milford with her husband and two children. Her roll on the Milford Fire Department shows her dedication and service to her community and helping others.
In addition to coordinating and directing the IMH Ambulances and EMTs, she is also Emergency Management Coordinator, and a CPR/First Aid Instructor. Her duties as Emergency Management Coordinator include ensuring that IMH is ready to respond to any disaster that may affect the hospital, community, or region at any given time. As a CPR/First Aid Instructor, she teaches First Aid and CPR to employees, area business, and numerous community groups. When preparing for the worst, Georgia is the person to count on!
When asked about her roll at IMH, Georgia said, “I like being able to help people on what can, many times, be described as their worst day. I also enjoy teaching CPR and First Aid to area businesses knowing that those I am teaching could someday saves someone’s life.”
Thank you Georgia for your outstanding service. You are a true Superstar in Healthcare!
